About Veggie Exchange
Veggie Exchange is a small, hobby-built community for people who like to grow things. It started as a way for neighbors to share extra seedlings with each other and turned into a friendly garden journal you can keep forever.
Who’s it for?
Anyone who grows plants for fun. Some people use it as a simple journal for their own garden — logging what they planted and when, snapping a photo every few weeks. Others use it to keep a tidy record of the hundreds of seedlings they start each spring and share what they can’t use with other gardeners nearby.
There are no “real farms” here in the commercial sense. Everyone’s a hobbyist. The growers offering seedlings are the same folks who follow each other’s garden journeys.
What can I do here?
- • Keep a journal of your plants — from seed to harvest.
- • Post photos, react to posts, comment, and follow other gardeners.
- • Tag plants in your posts by scanning their QR code.
- • Design tray layouts, track germination rates, log harvests, and see season-over-season stats — if you grow at that scale.
- • List extra seedlings you’re happy to share and arrange pickup windows.
Is it free?
Yes — Veggie Exchange is free to use. There are no ads, no upsells, and no tracking sold to third parties. We’re a side project, not a startup.

An iOS app is on the way and currently in App Store review. Android is not on the immediate roadmap, but the web app works well on phones in the meantime.
