Sign-in session (essential)

Supabase sets session cookies that keep you signed in. Without them, the site can’t tell who you are between page loads. They are removed when you sign out.

Farm season (functional)

If you work on a farm and switch the season you’re viewing, a cookie named vx_season_ followed by the farm’s ID remembers your choice. It can’t be read by scripts on the page and lasts about 6 months.

Some preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage instead of a cookie. They never leave your device:

• theme: your light, dark or system theme choice.
• seedInventory: entries: the filters you last used on a farm’s seed inventory (older versions of the site saved these as plantLibrary:).
• vex-cookie-ack: remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views anonymously. It doesn’t set cookies, doesn’t identify you, and we don’t share its data with advertisers.

We don’t use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social-media pixels. Apple and Google may set their own cookies when you sign in with them; those are governed by their privacy policies.

The iOS app uses no cookies. It keeps your sign-in session in encrypted on-device storage and caches recently viewed data so it works offline.

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of Veggie Exchange, reset your saved preferences, and bring back the cookie notice on your next visit.

• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies

We’ll update this page if our cookie use changes. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture on data we collect.
